Good to know

  • The vignette must be active before you enter a motorway or national road — not after.
  • Weekend vignette runs Friday 12:00 to Sunday 23:59, not 48 hours from purchase.
  • Annual vignettes cannot be backdated — validity starts on the date you choose.
  • Motorbikes and trikes are exempt.
  • If you tow a trailer and the combined weight exceeds 3.5 t, you need a separate vignette for the trailer.
  • Licence plate entry: use capital letters and numbers only, no spaces or dots. Umlauts (Ä, Ü, Ö) must be entered as-is — do not convert them.
