1. Provider and scope
1.1. These General Terms and Conditions ("GTC") govern the contractual relationship between you ("Customer") and EuroGoPass s.r.o., a company incorporated under Czech law, with its registered office at Nové sady 988/2, Staré Brno, 602 00 Brno, Czech Republic, IČO: 24442887 ("EuroGoPass", "we", or "us").
1.2. By placing an order on eurogopass.com, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these GTC. Terms that deviate from these GTC shall not apply unless expressly agreed in writing.
1.3. A Customer is a consumer if the purchase is made for purposes outside their trade, business, or profession. A Customer is a business if the purchase is made in connection with a commercial or self-employed activity.
2. Subject matter
2.1. EuroGoPass operates the website eurogopass.com, through which Customers can purchase digital highway vignettes ("e-vignettes") for eligible European countries, and receive information about toll requirements in countries where online purchase is not available.
2.2. EuroGoPass acts as a technical intermediary. For each country, the nature of the service is as follows:
Austria, Bulgaria, Czechia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland: EuroGoPass registers the Customer's vehicle in the official electronic database of the relevant national authority ("Competent Authority"), in the name and on behalf of the Customer, and pays the applicable toll on the Customer's behalf. EuroGoPass provides the Customer with a PDF confirmation of registration.
2.3. Vignettes are issued solely by the Competent Authority of each destination country, based on national rules and regulations. EuroGoPass has no influence over the Competent Authority's decision to issue or refuse an e-vignette.
2.4. The vehicle registration number provided by the Customer is essential for issuing a vignette. The Customer is solely responsible for entering correct vehicle data.
2.5. For countries where online purchase is not available ("pay-at-gate" countries), EuroGoPass provides information only — no purchase or registration is made on the Customer's behalf.
3. Offer and conclusion of contract
3.1. The presentation of services on eurogopass.com does not constitute a legally binding offer — it is an invitation to place an order.
3.2. By clicking "Pay now" (or equivalent), the Customer places a binding order for the selected services.
3.3. The contract between the Customer and EuroGoPass is concluded when EuroGoPass sends a confirmation email to the Customer's provided email address.
3.4. All communications from EuroGoPass may be sent by email. The Customer agrees that email communication is legally sufficient.
4. EuroGoPass Plus
4.1. The Customer may optionally add EuroGoPass Plus to their order for a fee of €3.00 per order. EuroGoPass Plus must be added at the time of purchase and cannot be added after the order is completed.
4.2. With EuroGoPass Plus active, the Customer may make the following changes online via their EuroGoPass Plus account, up to 15 minutes before the vignette's start date and time:
- Change the vehicle registration number and/or country of registration
- Change the validity period
- Change the start date
- Cancel the order and receive a full refund of the vignette price
4.3. Changes and cancellations can only be made by the Customer themselves through the EuroGoPass Plus online interface. Requests submitted by email or other means are not covered by EuroGoPass Plus.
Refund upon cancellation with EuroGoPass Plus: EuroGoPass will refund 100% of the vignette price within 14 days of cancellation, using the original payment method. The EuroGoPass Plus fee of €3.00 is non-refundable.
4.5. Once the vignette's start time has passed, no changes or cancellations are possible, regardless of EuroGoPass Plus.
4.6. EuroGoPass Plus covers the entire order — all vignettes within a single checkout are covered by one EuroGoPass Plus fee.
5. Pricing and payment
5.1. All prices shown on eurogopass.com include applicable VAT.
5.2. EuroGoPass charges a service fee of 10% on top of the official state vignette price for all vignette types, with the exception of annual vignettes, which are sold at the official state price with no additional service fee.
5.3. The service fee is displayed clearly and separately before the Customer completes payment. No hidden charges are applied.
5.4. Prices for vignettes are denominated in the official currency of the destination country. Where the Customer selects a different currency at checkout, conversion is applied at the exchange rate of the European Central Bank (or the relevant national bank) applicable at the time of the order. EuroGoPass is not responsible for currency fluctuations.
5.5. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. EuroGoPass does not store payment card data.
5.6. Invoices are issued electronically and sent to the Customer's email address. The Customer accepts electronic invoicing as legally equivalent to a paper invoice.
6. Customer obligations
6.1. The Customer agrees to provide accurate and complete information, including vehicle registration number, country of registration, and personal contact details.
6.2. The Customer confirms that they are the registered owner of the vehicle, its driver, or are authorised by the registered owner to purchase a vignette for the vehicle.
6.3. EuroGoPass is not liable for fines, penalties, or other consequences arising from incorrect information provided by the Customer (e.g. wrong registration number, wrong vehicle category).
6.4. The Customer must check the confirmation email and PDF carefully upon receipt. Any errors in the confirmation must be reported to EuroGoPass immediately at info@eurogopass.com.
7. Cancellation and right of withdrawal
Orders without EuroGoPass Plus are final once submitted. Because the registration process begins immediately upon payment, the Customer expressly consents to the immediate commencement of the service and acknowledges that the statutory right of withdrawal expires upon full performance of the service (in accordance with Article 16(a) of Directive 2011/83/EU and applicable national law).
Orders with EuroGoPass Plus may be cancelled by the Customer up to 15 minutes before the vignette's start time, as described in Section 4.
7.3. If the Competent Authority fails to register the vignette due to a technical error on EuroGoPass's side, EuroGoPass will either re-register the vignette free of charge or issue a full refund including the service fee.
7.4. Refunds are processed within 14 days using the original payment method.
8. Liability
8.1. EuroGoPass is liable for damages only where EuroGoPass or its agents have breached a material contractual obligation in a way that jeopardises the purpose of the contract, or where the damage results from gross negligence or wilful intent.
8.2. Where a breach of a material contractual obligation does not involve gross negligence or wilful intent, EuroGoPass's liability is limited to foreseeable and typical damages.
8.3. EuroGoPass is not liable for:
- Errors resulting from incorrect information provided by the Customer
- Decisions made by the Competent Authority (e.g. refusal to issue a vignette)
- Fines or penalties incurred as a result of driving without a valid vignette where the Customer failed to check their confirmation
- Delays caused by technical outages on the side of the Competent Authority
8.4. Nothing in these GTC limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by EuroGoPass.
9. Validity checker
9.1. EuroGoPass provides a validity checker tool on eurogopass.com, allowing Customers to verify the status of vignettes purchased through EuroGoPass using their licence plate.
9.2. The validity checker reflects the data available to EuroGoPass. Final authority on vignette validity rests with the Competent Authority of each country.
10. Data protection
10.1. EuroGoPass processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at eurogopass.com/privacy.
10.2. Personal data (including vehicle registration numbers) is shared with the Competent Authority of the relevant country solely for the purpose of vignette registration.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
11.1. These GTC are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.
11.2. For disputes with consumers, the statutory rules on jurisdiction apply. For disputes with business Customers, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is the registered office of EuroGoPass in Brno, Czech Republic.
11.3. The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. EuroGoPass is not obliged to participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings, but is willing to seek amicable resolution directly with the Customer.
12. Final provisions
12.1. Should any provision of these GTC be or become invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
12.2. EuroGoPass reserves the right to update these GTC. Customers will be notified of material changes by email or via the website. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12.3. These GTC, together with the order confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and EuroGoPass regarding the purchase of e-vignettes.
