- Bridge fees: Crossing the Bosphorus bridges (Istanbul) is tolled. Be aware that some are one-way tolling, while others are two-way.
- Penalty grace period: If you pass through a toll point without sufficient balance, you generally have a 15-day grace period to top up your HGS account to avoid a fine (which can be up to 4x the toll).
