How is the Sozina Tunnel toll paid?
The toll is paid directly at the toll booth; no registration or electronic vignette is required for a single passage. Monteput accepts payment in cash, by bank card or electronically with a TAG device in the ENP system.
For a tourist trip, choose a lane staffed by an attendant and pay by card or in cash in euros. Follow the symbols above the lanes. The ENP lane is for vehicles with an active TAG device, and the fee is deducted automatically. What to check with a trailer, motorhome or taller vehicle
The category is not determined only by the vehicle’s name. A passenger car with a trailer may fall into category IV if it has two axles, is over 1.9 m high, has a mass of up to 3.5 t and forms part of a vehicle combination. A taller van or motorhome up to 3.5 t with two axles and no trailer falls into category III according to the tariff.
Check the maximum permitted mass, number of axles and vehicle height in the registration document. Bicycles on the roof or a roof box do not automatically mean a different category; the toll system’s classification is decisive. If you are unsure, follow the signs and the attendant’s instructions.
The Sozina Tunnel is not a vignette for all of Montenegro
You pay a section toll for Sozina only when passing through the tunnel. It is not an electronic vignette for the whole country or a prepaid product valid for a certain period. The same journey may involve other charges, such as the Bar–Boljare motorway or a ferry across the Bay of Kotor; their rules and prices are separate from the Sozina Tunnel.
